I am an environmental engineering PhD student at Rice University in Dr. Qilin Li’s lab. I am also a new member of the Nanosystems Engineering Research Center for Nanotechnology-Enabled Water Treatment (NEWT), an NSF funded organization devoted to using nanotechnologies to treat water for humanitarian needs.

My research interests pertain to using nanotechnology and membrane distillation processes to develop reliable and efficient point of use (POU) water treatment technologies. My current research project is evaluating the technical feasibility of using waste heat from fryer vapors to treat wastewater onsite using membrane distillation.
